The AES Corp. engages in the provision of power generation and utility services through its renewable and thermal generation facilities and distribution businesses. The Utilities segment includes AES Indiana, AES Ohio, and AES El Salvador regulated utilities and their generation facilities. The Energy Infrastructure segment includes natural gas, liquefied natural gas, coal, pet-coke, diesel and oil generation facilities, and its businesses in Chile, which have a mix of generation sources, including renewables. The New Energy Technologies segment includes green hydrogen initiatives and investments in Fluence, Uplight, 5B, and other new energy technology businesses. The firm owns and/or operates a generation portfolio of approximately 34,596 MW, including generation from its integrated utility, AES Indiana.
